Words are still pitted against each other regarding the brawl in Brussels between a civil servant from the Left Party and the Christian Democrats' EU parliamentarian Teodorescu Måwe.

The incident occurred almost two weeks ago, and since then, the parliament's spokesperson has stated that it was the Left Party's employee who "initiated and escalated" the brawl.

The Left Party, on the other hand, has questioned the parliament's investigation and Nooshi Dadgostar has pointed out that the Speaker Roberta Metsola is a party-political friend of Alice Teodorescu Måwe.

"Enormous accusation"

Now, Ebba Busch is accusing the Left Party's chairman of spreading information without sufficient evidence.

Saying that Nooshi Dadgostar is spreading conspiracy theories about the Speaker in that situation is outrageous, says Busch, and goes on:

She means that the Speaker took a political stance because the Speaker belongs to the EPP. It's such an enormous accusation. It's just a matter of looking at how the Speaker acts here, marking left and right.

The KD leader says that Nooshi Dadgostar has serious leadership problems and that she cannot keep her own party clean.

Everyone must behave, everyone. Regardless of who you are. And that you threaten and hate because a person is elected, you can't do that, because in the long run, it means that you silence the voters. You silence the citizens.

That's what the Left Party's civil servant has done, according to Busch.

That's what they're trying to do, yes. Completely obvious.

The Left Party: Took to violence

The Left Party's secretary in parliament, Marie Antman, writes in a comment that there is a difficulty for employees in parliament to get their rights met.

"Apart from that, I'm not surprised that Busch wants to talk about everything except the core issue – namely, the police investigation into the parliamentarian taking to violence."

The civil servant has reported Måwe for assault, and Måwe is to make a counter-report when she returns to Belgium, something that had not yet occurred by Monday afternoon.

The parties involved will also get to review the surveillance footage that captured the sequence of events in parliament's premises. The brawl had its origin in the parties' stance on the Israel-Gaza conflict, according to information to TT.
