It became a drama in Luleå in the fourth final.
Brynäs made a lightning start and went up to 3–0, Luleå caught up and was really on the go – then Silfverberg stepped forward.
Directly on the face-off, he scored 4–3 after 6.14 of the third period.
A goal that came less than two minutes after Luleå's equalizer.
Strong anyway. We make an incredibly good first period, but lose a bit of pressure and then they catch up. We show incredible strength that wins it back. I'm incredibly proud of that, says Silfverberg.
"Really good"
It means that Brynäs took back the home advantage after winning one of the two straight away games in Luleå.
We knew we had to steal one away, we did it really well today and the guys played well in front of me, says comebacking Brynäs goalkeeper Ludvig Persson to TV4.
He made his first match in almost a month after being injured in the sixth quarterfinal away against Malmö on March 30.
He replaced Erik Källgren, who had it tough in the last two final matches.
Better discipline
Brynäs had let in ten goals in the last two matches – and five of them had come in numerical disadvantage.
Now it was a more disciplined Brynäs that only took two penalties throughout the match.
Brynäs made a shock start and went up to a 3–0 lead after barely 14 minutes.
Jack Kopacka set 1–0 in a quick turnaround, Oskar Lindblom saw with hard work in front of the Luleå goal that Jordan Schroeder's post hit eventually bounced in and set 3–0 on a pass.
Lindblom took a place in the first line along with Silfverberg and team captain Johan Larsson.
I think it felt good. "Ogge" is really skilled in front of the goal, the pass was a real Oskar goal, it's incredibly nice to have a guy like that in the line, says Silfverberg.
But Luleå caught up. Junior Isak Hedqvist scored two goals, one at the end of the first period and one in the second.
When Eetu Koivistoinen set 3–3 at the beginning of the third, Luleå looked like a winning team.
Then Silfverberg stepped forward.
I had time to think that I would knock it in quickly, I think it bounced on something and went in, incredibly nice, says Silfverberg.
Bobby Trivigno then set 5–3 in an empty net.
