"As a kid, I always dreamed of playing on the PGA Tour and I'm excited to do it again," he wrote on X.
Koepka was one of many stars who chose to leave the PGA Tour to play on the lucrative LIV Tour, which is funded by Saudi Arabia. The 35-year-old now becomes the first to be welcomed back to the PGA Tour - this is possible because the PGA has designed a pathway for players who have won a major or The Players Championship between 2022 and 2025.
However, Koepka must pay just over 45 million kronor in fines. The amount will go to charity.
“I understand that there are financial penalties associated with this decision, and I accept them,” he wrote.
Brooks Koepka plans to play the PGA Tour Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines at the end of the month.
