The measures are part of the government's attempt to provide relief to Britons who have been affected by high living costs following the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
According to Dan Tomlinson, Secretary of State at the British Treasury, the relief applies "for a limited time and to a very specific issue."
The United Kingdom has been one of Ukraine's most important allies since Russia's full-scale invasion in February 2022.
