The E4/E20 motorway bridge in Södertälje, south of Stockholm, was stuck open on Thursday morning.
The problem began at 10:20 when the bridge did not close after opening. Technicians were called to the scene. The traffic editor at Sveriges Radio warned that huge queues could be expected towards Stockholm.
By 12 noon, the problems were resolved. At that time, there were no longer any reported problems or queues at the location.
