Six minutes after takeoff from Addis Ababa, a Boeing 737 Max 8 crashed in March 2019. All 157 on board perished, four of them Swedes.
On Monday, a jury trial was to begin in Chicago, USA, but at the last second, aircraft manufacturer Boeing managed to avoid the process. Late on Sunday, an agreement was reached between Boeing and two plaintiffs, reports news agency AFP.
Since the accident in 2019, relatives of 155 of the victims have sued Boeing, among other things for negligence. Most of the cases have ended in settlements.
After the accident in Ethiopia, the Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft model was taken out of service in almost the entire world.
