Bodø/Glimt's Danish goal king Kasper Waarts Høgh got in the 54th match minute a golden opportunity to become historic as the club's first goal scorer in the Champions League ever.
The referee had pointed to the penalty spot at the score 0–1 and Waarts Høgh took a run-up.
The penalty was however lamely hit and Slavia Prague's goalkeeper Jindrich Stanek had no trouble saving and being hugged by cheering teammates.
Slavia Prague's Youssoupha Mbodji instead extended 20 minutes later the Czechs' lead with his second goal for the evening.
The situation looked bleak but then the Norwegians woke up.
With just over ten minutes left of the match came the historic first goal through Daniel Bassi who scored an own rebound. And the yellow-clad were not finished there. With just minutes left of the match, Sondre Brunstad Fet sent in an incredible left-foot volley that hit the post and in to 2–2 to snatch a point back to Norway.
For the Norwegian success team, more tough challenges await this autumn.
The team will, among other things, be pitted against Manchester City and the Norwegian Erling Haaland. In addition, they will also face teams like Juventus, Atlético Madrid, Borussia Dortmund and Tottenham.
