British police have dropped their investigation into rapper Bobby Vylan after his chants of "death to the IDF" during the Glastonbury Festival in June, Sky News reports.

The incident received global attention and led to great controversy. IDF is an abbreviation for the Israeli military.

Among others, Prime Minister Keir Starmer called the behavior “appalling.”

Bobby Vylan's punk-rap group, with the similar name Bob Vylan, was forced to cancel several shows and had its visas to the US revoked for a tour. A police investigation was also launched.

Following an extensive investigation by Bristol Police, the evidence is now deemed insufficient to warrant prosecution, according to the Crown Prosecution Service. The Metropolitan Police have also concluded their investigation into the case.
