It was tough, but it was resolved in the end: a 4–2 home win against Karlskoga was the start the series winner and final favorite had hoped for.
But there is room for improvement.
"We can do much better. We're getting a little carried away. It's unnecessary," says Daniel Brodin, who came from Djurgården last winter, to TV4 Play.
Brodin has been involved in this before. The final - decided in a best-of-seven series - is his fourth in a row.
Now he scored the 2-1 goal early in the second period. Shortly afterwards, Oscar Tellström's second goal of the evening made it 3-1.
In the final seconds, Gustav Possler scored into an empty net to make it 4–2.
Game 2 will also be played in Umeå on Friday.
