The former president states that he is ”grateful and relieved” and that his government also worked to end the fighting.
”The road to this agreement was not easy. My government has worked tirelessly to bring home the hostages, provide aid to Palestinian civilians and put an end to the war”, writes Biden in the same post.
Also, former president and Democrat Bill Clinton praises Trump.
”President Trump and his government, Qatar and other regional actors deserve great recognition”, says Clinton, among other things, in a statement.
Last week, Israel and Hamas agreed to a ceasefire, as a first phase of the Trump administration's peace plan. On Monday, Hamas released hostages in exchange for imprisoned Palestinians.
