Extensive disruptions have affected Belgian air traffic this week after drones were spotted near the airports in Brussels and Liège.
New alarms came on Sunday. First, the airport in Liège was closed for a couple of hours in the evening after reports of drones. And about an hour later, three drones were seen at the nuclear power plant in Doel outside Antwerp.
Also last weekend, there were reports of unidentified drones, including near a military base.
Following a request from Belgium, Britain is assisting the country with personnel and equipment from the Royal Air Force, Defence Secretary Richard Knighton told the BBC .
Belgium is also reported to have received promises of support from Germany and France.
The incidents follow a series of similar drone violations of airspace in various NATO countries in Europe recently.
