P4 Jönköping reports that an infant died four months after suffering oxygen deprivation during and after a prolonged labour.

According to an independent investigation by the Jönköping region's health care system, the baby was delivered by vacuum extraction and was lifeless at birth. After delivery, there was a delay in clearing the baby's airway, resulting in severe oxygen deprivation and injuries. The baby died four months later.

The incident is now being reported to the Health and Social Care Inspectorate in accordance with Lex Maria.
