An Australian man is facing trial after police found guns, ammunition and what is suspected to be a shopping list for bomb parts in his home. The man also expressed support for the Bondi Beach terror attack earlier in December, the BBC reports.

The man, who lives in a suburb of Perth in the state of Western Australia, was arrested after people reported posts he made on social media. Among other things, he is suspected of expressing his "100 percent support" for the terrorist attack at Bondi Beach in which 15 people were killed.

In a raid on his home, police found a notebook with anti-Semitic comments, six rifles and a large amount of ammunition. According to prosecutors, the man also had Hamas and Hezbollah flags, two movements that are classified as terrorist organisations by Australia.

The man has denied plans to harm anyone during questioning. However, he has described himself as "strong-minded" regarding the war in Gaza, according to AFP.

15 people were killed and around 40 injured when two men opened fire on a Jewish Hanukkah celebration at Bondi Beach in Sydney on December 14.
