Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese says A$3.9 billion, equivalent to 24.6 billion SEK, will be invested in a facility to build nuclear submarines, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) reports.

The plans presented for the facility cost around 190 billion Swedish kronor, and construction is expected to last until 2040. It will be located in the city of Adelaide, in the state of South Australia.

At least eight nuclear submarines are to be built within the so-called AUKUS cooperation with the United Kingdom and the United States.
