Qatar says Iranian missiles have hit additional sites with liquefied natural gas, causing fires and further extensive damage. Firefighters are working at the scene. No injuries have been reported.
The previous attack caused damage, according to Qatar's Ministry of Defense, and the attacks are said to pose a "direct threat" to the country's national security.
Iran has attacked gas facilities in several countries around the Persian Gulf in response to Israel's strikes on facilities at Iran's largest gas field. Iran has also warned of further attacks if the United States and Israel attack Iranian energy facilities again.
“Blow it up”
Trump says Israel will not attack the Iranian gas field again, but that the United States, with or without Israel's participation, could "blow the whole thing up" if Iran attacks Qatar's liquefied natural gas facilities.
“I do not want to condone this level of violence and destruction because of the long-term impact it will have on Iran's future, but if Qatar's liquefied natural gas facilities are attacked again, I will not hesitate to do so,” he writes on Truth Social.
Attacks on other countries
The United Arab Emirates is simultaneously halting operations at a gas facility due to falling rocket shrapnel. The State Department condemns the attacks, which it accuses of being carried out by Iran.
"These attacks constitute a serious escalation and violate the foundations of international law," the State Department wrote on X.
Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan strongly criticizes Iran's attacks on Saudi Arabia.
"The little trust that existed before is completely gone," he says.
