According to the Sudanese human rights group Emergency Lawyers, a drone from the Sudanese military hit the hospital in Darfur, AFP reports. The region is largely controlled by the paramilitary RSF (Rapid Support Forces).
WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus wrote on X that the number of people killed in attacks on healthcare facilities in the country during the nearly three-year conflict has now exceeded 2,000.
“WHO has confirmed that 2,036 people have been killed in 213 attacks,” he wrote.
