"Following enemy air strikes, cluster bombs and mines have been scattered over large areas," reports the state-controlled Fars news agency, which says around 15,000 explosive devices have been defused.
But in an operation on Friday, soldiers were killed while trying to defuse mines, according to Fars, which cited information from the Revolutionary Guard.
