The leading Asian stock exchanges went in different directions on Friday in a situation where investors continue to wait for which path Donald Trump will take regarding Israel's war against Iran.
In Japan, the Nikkei 225 fluctuated around zero after a few hours of trading, while the broader Topix index fell by 0.2 percent.
Hong Kong's Hang Seng index, on the other hand, took a relatively large step up when it grew by 1.1 percent.
Equally happy was the situation in South Korea, where the Kospi index climbed 1.1 percent.
Much more gloomy was the situation in Chinese Shenzhen, where the composite index fell by 0.3 percent, while Shanghai's composite index neither went up nor down.
