The Minister of Justice, Cesar Siles, tells a state-owned TV channel that all parts of the case, including "the procedure, the charges, the jurisdiction", remain unchanged.
The 65-year-old Morales has been wanted since October, suspected of human trafficking case related to a relationship he allegedly had with a 15-year-old girl as president.
Evo Morales ruled the South American country for 13 years until 2019. He allegedly made the teenager pregnant in 2016, meaning he has committed rape according to Bolivian law. He has previously denied the allegations, stating that it is a conspiracy to keep him out of politics.
On Wednesday, a judge lifted the arrest warrant, which the Minister of Justice now calls "absurd".
Fortunately, the rule of law has been restored, he says to local media.
The legal turmoil comes at the same time as Morales plans to formally launch a campaign to become president again, despite not being allowed to run again.
