Airport staff found the drone late on Tuesday, positioned next to four Ukrainian cargo planes belonging to Ukraine's state-owned company Antonov Airlines, several German media outlets, including Tagesschau, reported.
According to a police report obtained by German media, at least one of the planes was loaded with military equipment imported from France and was most likely to be transported further.
War materiel can include everything from weapons and ammunition to combat vehicles and military systems.
The drone has not yet been identified, but the police's technical investigation has determined that the drone was fitted with several explosives.
