Argentina's largest trade union, CGT, has announced a general strike on April 10 as a protest against the police after about 40 people were injured in last week's demonstration in support of pensioners.
The Secretary-General of CGT, Hector Daer, said at a press conference that the strikers will also demand an increase in pensions and that the employment stoppage in the public sector is lifted.
The strike will last for 24 hours, according to Daer.
