"The fact that we get to play our first ever matches in Europe at Strandvallen means a lot," says club manager Jacob Lennartsson in a press release.

"This is the result of hard work from our own organization and very good cooperation with the Swedish Football Association, UEFA (Union of European Football Associations) and the municipality of Sölvesborg."

The matches at Strandvallen are played in front of a limited audience, as UEFA does not allow standing room. Of the approximately 3,500 seats, 5 percent are reserved for the away team.

However, if Mjällby reaches the Champions League playoffs, the game will be played at Olympia in Helsingborg.
