Georgson, who has been responsible for set pieces under national coach Graham Potter, will take on the role of assistant alongside Sebastian Larsson.
"Representing the men's national team is a great honour for me and my family," he says in a press release.
Andreas Georgson will continue to work at Premier League club Tottenham, as before, when it is not an international break.
"We are grateful that Tottenham is enabling a solution where Andreas can continue to be part of the national team," says Kim Källström.
