The announcement from the S leader comes in connection with a visit to Kungsholmen Gymnasium in Stockholm.
"If I become prime minister, we will immediately pause all deportations of these young people and then we will conduct a quick investigation where we look at their connection to Sweden. These are people who belong to our country," says Magdalena Andersson.
Age limit raised to 21
The government has introduced a "valve" for teenage expulsions, which means that the age limit for being considered an adult was raised from 18 to 21.
This concerns young people whose parents have the right to be in Sweden, but who themselves do not meet the requirements for their own residence permit when they turn 18.
The opposition has pointed out that the young people risk being deported when they turn 21 instead.
They are being expelled all the time, says Magdalena Andersson.
She is considering a stopgap law or possibly some other measure to pause the deportations as soon as she becomes prime minister. How quickly this can be done is unclear, but Andersson says it should happen quickly.
Conversation about public service
If she becomes prime minister, she also wants to see broad political agreements after the election.
During the first 100 days, she intends to invite conversations about energy policy, crime, major infrastructure projects, public services and housing policy.
An invitation to talks about energy policy should be sent out on day one, says Magdalena Andersson. All parties should receive an invitation.
Whether the Sweden Democrats will be included in talks about public service is unclear, she continues.
