Ambea has made a public takeover bid for the care company Humana in order to merge the two companies. The value of the offer amounts to nearly SEK 3 billion.

Ambea is offering consideration per share in Humana of SEK 20 in cash and 0.305 Ambea shares.

The Swedish Competition Authority will examine the merger.

Anders Nyberg, chairman of Humana's board, does not believe that the merger poses a risk of ownership concentration.

It will be a stronger company for employees and clients, he tells TT.

Humana sought damages from the state after the Swedish Health and Social Care Inspectorate (Ivo) revoked the company's permit to operate.

The Stockholm District Court rejected the claim and Humana has requested a review in the Court of Appeal.

If Humana receives damages, 80 percent of the amount will accrue to the shareholders who accept the offer.
