The Allra founder Alexander Ernstberger was sentenced to six years in prison and a ten-year business ban in 2021, despite his denial, for enriching himself at the expense of savers.

I know I'm innocent. My perception is that the Court of Appeal's assessment was based more on political will than on law, he says in a first interview with the business channel EFN after being released from prison.

He also directs strong criticism towards the Swedish prison system, which he believes is inefficient.

It's bleeding ridiculously much tax money and is totally dysfunctional. They simply can't fulfill their task anymore. Criminal people are worse people when they come out of prison than when they step in, he says.

Ernstberger was denied a trial in the Supreme Court but still has plans to lay out all the preliminary investigation material openly so that more will open their eyes to what he considers a "judicial murder".
