In the program, the young singles move into a luxury villa on the Spanish sun coast. The setup is familiar: there are cameras, dates – and the hope of finding love.
Everyone who is on the idea that all love is good love may also have missed not having only heterosexual couples in dating reality shows in Sweden, says Amie Bramme Sey.
Homosexual and bisexual individuals have certainly been part of dating programs before. But what is new with "All date all" is that bisexual people get full focus. Theoretically, everyone can just date everyone, says Kalle Norwald, who previously was an expert in "Married at first sight", and is a relationship expert in the program.
I think it's nice that we have created a format where representation is leading, since bisexual people are a group that is rarely represented in the media, says Norwald.
Hateful comments
Bramme Sey herself watches a lot of dating series.
But in "All date all" I experience for the first time such an unpredictable and "lovable cast", which of course makes the whole program.
There will be love and intrigues, just like usual. During the recording, everyone has been engaged and eager for it to be good.
You know that you will also work against the wind in a way, says Bramme Sey and tells that the program has met hateful and homophobic comments.
Love
As a relationship expert, Norwald guides the participants individually and in groups. He also holds exercises and conversations about how it works in the luxury villa.
During the program, the participants list who they want to continue dating. The one who is not on anyone's list has to pack their bag and go home. A premise that everyone was aware of, according to Norwald.
The purpose was not to create drama. But to create opportunities and premises for curiosity and potential love. Then it can of course become drama anyway, it's still about people and feelings, says Norwald.
