The national team star Alexander Isak has been troubled by a groin injury during the end of the Premier League season. Now it is clear that the Newcastle striker is withdrawing from Sweden's upcoming gathering.

Alexander Isak played 90 minutes in the last league round on Sunday against Everton, but a slight injury feeling forces him to withdraw from the June gathering, reports the Swedish Football Association on its website.

Sweden plays national team matches against Hungary away and four days later Algeria comes to the Strawberry arena.

National team captain Jon Dahl Tomasson is instead calling in the attacking duo Jordan Larsson, Copenhagen, and Gustaf Nilsson, Club Brugge.
