Until the end, Dadgostar campaigned for her party. At 7 p.m., she arrived at the party's vigil at Brunkeberg Square in Stockholm.
"We have been running a fantastic election campaign on the streets and squares. We have been out talking to people about how they should vote," she says.
The question now is whether the party can move forward and improve its election results compared with the last election. Then V received 6.7 percent, a clear decline from 2018. Now the election campaign has been about mixed results for the party in opinion polls and candidates removed from electoral lists. This is based on the fact that the candidates shared anti-Semitic views, among other things. Nooshi Dadgostar is optimistic, however:
"It's very good. I feel hopeful. We have strong tailwinds and we believe we will win this," she says.
During the election campaign, the Left Party raised the demand for left-wing ministers in a government, something that Dadgostar reiterates is the party's intention.
That is of course the hope, she says.
700 people have registered for the vigil itself. According to the Left Party, there will be no artists at the vigil, but there will be a DJ. No special guests have been invited.
However, the party leader stepped in amid choruses of speeches from standing party members chanting "Nooshi, Nooshi, Nooshi."
