Hamza Ziyadne, son of Youssef Ziyadne whose body was returned to Israel earlier in the week, has been confirmed dead. Both were taken hostage by Hamas in the attack on Israel in October 2023.
The son's remains were brought home together with his father's. But not until now has the 22-year-old also been identified, reports The Times of Israel.
"Hamza and Youssef were kidnapped alive on October 7 and killed in Hamas captivity", says the Israeli military in a statement.
94 of the more than 250 who were taken hostage during Hamas' terror attack on Israel in October 2023 are believed to still be in Gaza. It is unclear how many of them are still alive.
