Tennis talent Mirra Andreeva, 17, is now the youngest WTA 1000 winner in history.
This after having defeated Dane Clara Tauson in the final (7–6, 6–1) in Dubai.
The 17-year-old Russian has on her way to the final knocked out three Grand Slam winners, where world number two Iga Swiatek was one of them.
With the win in the final, she not only won the tournament but also climbed into the top ten on the world ranking. This as the second 17-year-old in history since Nicole Vaidisova, 2007.
