A 21-year-old man is sentenced to 17 years in prison for shooting at two men at Bagarmossen subway station in southern Stockholm last year, writes UNT.
The two men who were shot at threw themselves onto the track when the perpetrator opened fire on them. The perpetrator later ran out of ammunition and disappeared into the tunnel towards Skarpnäck subway station, writes the newspaper.
The 21-year-old was arrested a short time later. The police found a bandana in the tunnel with DNA traces from the man, but there were no such DNA traces on the weapon that was also found.
He is convicted despite his denial of attempted murder and serious weapons offense. The district court finds that it is an aggravating circumstance that the shots were fired on a subway platform where several travelers were present, writes UNT.
