It was on October 6 last year that a store employee inside the shopping center was shot and seriously injured.
A then 14-year-old boy fired several pistol shots at the man.
The boy was caught on the spot, after a woman saw him trying to escape and pressed the emergency stop button for the revolving door out of the shopping center. In connection with this, the boy fired another shot, which did not hit anyone.
I never got scared because I still believed it was a toy pistol, said the woman, who works at the shopping center, to Kungsbacka after the incident.
According to Varberg District Court, the boy, who has since turned 15, is guilty of attempted murder, gross weapons offense, and gross unlawful threat. However, due to his age, he will not receive any punishment.
On the other hand, another, now 16-year-old, boy is sentenced to closed youth care for one and a half years for aiding and abetting attempted murder.
Prosecutor Viktor Törneke has previously stated that they have not found any clear motive for the shooting, which is believed to have gang connections.
In February, three other persons were convicted for preparation for murder of the same man who was shot and injured at Kungsmässan.
Recently, a 23-year-old was also charged, suspected of having hired children for several serious violent crimes in the Gothenburg area, including the attempted murder at the shopping center.
Prosecutor Mats Ihlbom in the case has stated to Göteborgs-Posten that the man is suspected of being highly placed within a criminal network.
