The number of people killed in the weekend's attacks in southeastern Nigeria has risen to 150 people. They were found when villagers searched through burnt-out houses after many people who are still missing.
Armed perpetrators entered the village of Yelewata in the state of Benue in the southeastern part of the country on Friday evening local time and opened fire on sleeping villagers.
Many of those who were killed are said to have sought shelter in a shop.
No one has taken responsibility for the deed and the motive is unclear, but the region has long been plagued by bloody conflicts between nomadic livestock farmers and farmers.
