In a letter to the Commission, Germany, Austria, Italy, Poland, Denmark, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Lithuania, Portugal and Hungary say they do not want any new proposals to be put forward for a whole year. The idea is to focus instead on getting things done, rather than coming up with new ideas.
