Enkhuset is described as an old house for single mothers, built in 1776 on the initiative of Anna Johanna Grill d.ä. It was a social venture for the mill’s widows. The house has two rooms arranged to show how the widows lived in different periods. Visitors can look through the rooms and see the arrangement used to present the widow’s house.

The two-room display focuses on the widows’ living conditions across different periods. The arrangement is the way the house presents that subject to visitors. The building also has a meeting room, and vacant office space is available for rent. Marianne Hedlund is responsible for leasing the assembly room. The account describes both the house’s original purpose as a venture for mill widows and its present display of their living arrangements. The meeting room and office space are additional uses of the building; the display itself is in the two rooms showing how the widows lived.
