Solstugan is a restaurant and bar on the cliffs of Fredhäll, with terraces above Lake Mälaren. The terrace circles the cliff among treetops, and the venue describes views of the water and boats. There is also an indoor area and heated outdoor seating. The restaurant says it can keep the outdoor areas at 21°C from April through August, and that it lights a fire if it rains.

The menu includes salads, hamburger plates and other dishes. Visitors can order drinks at the bar, or finish with a macchiato and apple pie. The venue advertises live music and DJs; its English page also describes a quieter lower terrace and music on the upper deck. Solstugan was built in 1922. Visit Stockholm describes it as a summer restaurant and says it usually opens in late April and stays open through the summer. That puts this week in November outside its stated usual season.

For the usual trip, take any of metro green lines 17, 18 or 19 towards Hässelby strand to Kristineberg. From the station, Solstugan's directions say to turn left, walk under the small bridge, continue straight for three minutes, then turn right on Birger Sjöbergsväg. Bus 61 to Fredhäll is another option; get off at the stop and walk west on Rålambsvägen towards Lake Mälaren.
