True Nature Sweden’s guided Nordic skating tour runs on natural ice at lakes around Stockholm. The guide chooses the lake and route according to ice and weather conditions, and may travel farther from the city to find suitable ice. The winter season is listed as mid-December to March. The tour takes seven hours, including transport from Stockholm, equipment fitting, a safety briefing, skating, lunch and Swedish fika.

Before skating, the guide explains the equipment and safety procedures and teaches basic technique. No previous Nordic skating experience is required, but the operator recommends reasonable fitness and balance. The tour is for people aged 12 and over, with no more than eight guests per guide. Nordic skates, boots, poles, a backpack and specialist safety equipment are provided. The group stops for warm soup cooked around a wood fire, then has a hot drink and something sweet for fika.
