Humana City is Humana’s Norrmalm second-hand shop at Gamla Brogatan 26. Visit Stockholm describes its stock as a curated selection of vintage clothes, shoes and accessories, including current fashion trends, designer brands, key pieces and vintage finds. Visitors can browse and buy items, or bring in clothes they no longer use for another turn in circulation.
Humana says it accepts clothes, textiles, shoes and accessories. Donations are packed and sent to one of Humana People to People’s sorting centres in Europe. After sorting, items may be reused through sales in Humana second-hand shops in Sweden or elsewhere in Europe. Some donated items go to Humana People to People organisations in lower-income countries, where they are sold to raise income for aid projects. Humana also sells donated clothes to private entrepreneurs, which it says contributes to local economies and long-term economic development. The organisation says international trade in clothing benefits the environment and people in lower-income countries, and that it sends clothes to the markets where they can do the most good.
