Chaikhana is a tea room and café in Gamla Stan, Stockholm’s Old Town. It offers pure and blended teas from tea-producing countries around the world, including familiar classics and lesser-known blends. The tearoom’s interior is inspired by early 20th-century colonial style, and the café serves savouries and pastries to go with tea.
You can drop in for tea, Afternoon Tea and a snack, or take part in a tea tasting. Chaikhana also sells tea-making and serving accessories, tea jellies, marmalades, biscuits and chocolates.
Chaikhana’s listed hours are Wednesday to Friday, 11:00 to 19:00, and Saturday and Sunday, 12:00 to 18:00. It is closed on Monday and Tuesday, so the next listed opening this week is Wednesday at 11:00. Reservations are not required, but the café recommends booking for weekends and holidays, and for large groups. For a last-minute weekend visit, it advises calling, as it may not check email in real time.
