Uppgården is a local-history museum and meeting place on Adelsö. Its main house has a kitchen and a room furnished as museum interiors, plus a larger room that was once a post office. Upstairs are another kitchen and room. The house also holds the local heritage archive, with association records, photographs, maps, books and periodicals.

The bakehouse contains a former farmhand’s room and an exhibition of older household objects. Adelsö’s heritage association bakes thin flatbread there several times a year. In the granary, displays cover objects used in farming, crafts and domestic life. The wagon shed, opened in 2007, has horse-drawn vehicles and tools for farming and gardening. The association has registered more than 1,000 objects, but cannot display them all, especially its vehicles.

Ekerö municipality made the farm available for use as a museum and meeting place in 1982. The buildings then included the main house, granary and bakehouse; volunteers and financial contributions from Adelsö residents helped restore them. Uppgården was one of five farms in the village of Hovgården at the start of the 20th century. In the early 1940s, the main house became Adelsö’s post station and the home of its postmaster, Oskar Johansson. The post station closed in 1970.
