Malmö Konsthall is an art gallery in Malmö that opened in 1975. Visit Sweden describes it as one of Sweden’s largest spaces for contemporary art. Architect Klas Anshelm designed the exhibition room to be flexible, with generous space and light. The gallery presents art by international and Swedish artists, ranging from modernism’s classics to current experiments.

Visitors can see the exhibitions, browse the bookstore and take part in side events. Those events are intended to keep the boundaries between art forms open. The gallery also offers experiences for children and young people. A visit can include more than viewing art, with a bookstore and events alongside the exhibitions. Its programme spans work described as classics of modernism and current experiments, covering both established and contemporary art. Anshelm’s flexible exhibition room gives the gallery a space designed to accommodate art in different forms. The gallery has a series of side events and offers experiences aimed at children and young people.
