The museum occupies former Förråd 101 (F 101), a defence supply depot whose organisation supplied military equipment in southern Sweden. The museum describes the site as a document of the Cold War era. Visit Sweden says the exhibits cover military history from the 1900s to today, with uniforms, local Cold War history, vehicles, missiles and other defence-related objects.

Opening information needs checking before a trip. The museum’s website lists Saturdays and Sundays, 10:00-14:00, but marks both “STÄNGT” (closed). Visit Sweden describes the museum as open on summer weekends. The museum says it accepts group visits by arrangement. Contact the museum before travelling, particularly outside summer.

Admission is 60 kronor (about $6.00/£4.50) for adults aged 18 and over, 30 kronor (about $3.00/£2.25) for visitors aged 15-17, and free for children under 15. SMHS members enter free. For buses and groups, the fee is 50 kronor per person (about $5.00/£3.75), plus a guide fee of 500 kronor (about $50.00/£37.50). SMHS membership costs 260 kronor a year (about $26.00/£19.50); an additional family membership costs 100 kronor (about $10.00/£7.50). The museum accepts cash, cards and Swish.

From road 23, drive into Älmhult and take road 120 towards Traryd. From the E4, exit at Traryd and take road 120 towards Älmhult. In Delary, follow the museum signs. The museum’s directions say to pass the first gates on the left and continue 150 metres to another gate.
