Lilla Björka is Elin Wägner's former home in Berg, around 30 kilometres north of Växjö. In 1923, after receiving De Nio's major prize, Wägner used the prize money to buy pasture on the edge of the village. She had architect Carl Bergsten design a “Småland cottage” there. It began as a summer house and became her permanent home in 1929, a fixed base between journeys for peace, women's rights and environmental causes.

The museum links the house to Wägner’s life and work. Her family also had ties nearby: her uncle Alfred Ekedahl was a vicar in Berg, and her grandfather had been a provost in Tolg. Wikidata records the site as opened in 1924 and heritage-listed.

The website's current news names author and journalist Milena Bergquist as the 2026 recipient of the Elin Wägner scholarship. It says her writing draws on the lives of her female ancestors and addresses women's history, local communities and the limits patriarchy placed on women's choices.
