Hanaslöv is a ski facility on Hanaslövsberget outside Alvesta. Alvesta municipality owns it, and volunteer groups from Friluftsfrämjandet and Asok run it. In winter, visitors can ski on what Visit Sweden describes as Sweden’s southernmost ski slope, or use the adjoining sledding slope. In summer, the lifts serve bike and downhill riding.
The notices describe downhill lift days in September and ski opening in March, both now past. Opening times vary by season and are published in dated updates, so check hanaslov.se before travelling.
Hanaslöv is also part of Sagobygden, a storytelling area. A story cupboard at the hill tells the tale of Hanaslövskittan, a troll witch said to live inside the mountain. Near the summit, Pockers källa is associated with the story: people are said to leave coins there, and Hanaslövskittan is said to wash at the spring.
