Huskvarna Church is a red wooden church in central Huskvarna. Built in 1907–08 on the initiative of Wilhelm Tham, an industrialist at the Husqvarna Weapons Factory, it was designed by the factory’s architect, Birger Damstedt. The church’s Old Norse style uses horizontal timber, and its form has some resemblance to a Norwegian stave church. It was given to the then township on 26 November 1908.
The church has seating for 300 people. Major renovations took place in 1930, 1955 and 1986. The 1930 work was the most extensive; Jönköping city architect Göran Pauli designed the new interior and furnishings introduced then.
The address is Alfred Dalinvägen 10–12. Parking is nearby. From Jönköping, city buses 1 and 4 go to Huskvarna Esplanaden. Regional buses 121 toward Gränna and 124 toward Aneby also serve the area. Krösatåg trains toward Växjö stop at Huskvarna station, where city bus 15 can take you onward. A wheelchair ramp is on the church’s north side. There is an accessible toilet and a hearing loop. The ground is level, with cobblestone paving and gravel; in winter, the grounds are cleared of snow and sanded.
