Röda Sten Art Centre presents contemporary art by artists from around the world in gallery spaces beneath Älvsborgsbron. Its current exhibition is “...why do you hold back?” by Kosovo artist Doruntina Kastrati. The centre describes it as her first exhibition in the Nordic region. It runs from 12 September to 22 November 2026, so it is on view this week and through the rest of the month.

Exhibitions and artworks are often created specifically for the gallery spaces. The programme can include video installations, dance performances, painting, sculpture and photography. Visitors can also take part in guided tours and workshops, which are offered for all ages. Events are part of the programme too.

The venue has a restaurant with outdoor seating, where visitors can stop for fika or a meal. From Monday to Friday, it serves three lunch dishes each day, including a vegetarian or vegan option. The centre also hosts club nights on some Fridays and Saturdays; details are listed on its Facebook page.
