Oceanen combines a restaurant with a cultural venue at Stigbergstorget. Kulturköket Oceanen opened in 2025, and the association owns and runs the entire first-floor operation. Its fully vegetarian kitchen draws on Afghan and Iranian cooking, with dishes including manto, bolani and ghormeh sabzi.

The venue has been home to musicians, artists, writers, and dance and theatre collectives since 1997. Its stage hosts more than 120 public events a year, from bands and club concepts to experimental poetry readings. The programme also includes initiatives such as Clandestino Institut and the World Dance Company.

The dining room has two small stages for guest performances and spontaneous acts. In the courtyard, visitors can read books from the in-house library. The gallery shows contemporary art by students from Gothenburg’s art schools. The bar serves drinks ranging from local non-alcoholic options to classic favourites.
