Hotel Eggers has 70 rooms at Drottningtorget in central Gothenburg. The rooms vary in size and style, with parquet floors, antique rugs, stucco and crystal lamps; Wi-Fi is available. Some rooms are larger and more luxurious, while others are smaller and more intimate.

Parts of the building date from 1820. Its main structure took its present form in the 1880s, and traces of Gothenburg’s 16th- and 17th-century city walls have been found beneath the foundations. Visit Sweden describes Eggers as Sweden’s third-oldest hotel still in operation. The hotel and its restaurant have the Nordic Swan Ecolabel.

Eggers restaurant and bar take inspiration from Paris and the Belle Époque, the turn-of-the-century period when cafés, restaurants and art galleries were used as living rooms. They serve breakfast, lunch, brunch, fine dining and drinks. The hotel cooperates with P-Hus Nordstan, and parking tickets are available at reception. Cars may stop outside the hotel for up to 10 minutes.
