Dicksonska palatset is a former private residence of the merchant family Dickson, built in 1862. Visit Sweden’s description says it has been renovated and was being prepared for public use by Stureplansgruppen. The plan includes a restaurant and two bars on the entrance floor, in the orangery that was originally the Dickson family’s library. The restaurant is one part of a proposed mix of hospitality and event uses in the palace; the two bars are specifically assigned to the orangery. The plans also include a ballroom and a chess club. On the parade floor, on level two, the palace was to have space for events and banquets during the Christmas season. The published plan hoped that Dicksonska palatset would open to the public sometime in 2025. It describes the intended uses of the building, with dining and bars on the entrance floor and event and banquet space on the floor above. The opening target in that plan was sometime in 2025.
